- heard young hanafin will play some part with u 21's this week end in a challenge game, his injury may not be as bad as first diagnosed and he is trying it out to see what effect a game will have on his knee. hope he comes through game, would be a big boost to u 21 panel and the larks.........
... and maybe the seniors

| u-21's beat sligo by 4or 5 points yesterday. played well enough at times, 2 corner backs were under serious pressure all day, cant believe they dropped young o'shea from milltown last week, specialist corner back. half forwards hurley and forgarty very greedy with the ball, wont get rid of it quickly and no pace to cover back. feely at midfield was outstanding, egan and hanafin came on and done well. team looks strong but needs to work more as a team. still have alot to improve on..... | |

| his injury is not as bad as first diagnosed, but makes fcuks all difference now, just heard he was dropped off the panel last night...!! mr barry what the the hell are ya at or was decision made by higher arkie because of his knee injury and county board dont want to be liable pay out for another knee injury...?? cant see any logic in dropping him or maybe we have a management in place that are suspect. their past history does'nt instill much hope or confidence.......

maybe it was a collective decision made by the selectors and manager.

| or maybe he just isnt good enough? lord knows there are enough players talked up at this level that never seem to cut it when it comes to inter county U21/senior level. im finding more and more that seems to happen players who run amok playing junior/intermediate with their clubs.
hope im not opening a can of worms - just an observation

| Will Fionn Dowling or Tommy Moolick (even Shane Connolly, is he still eligble) be playing for the 21's this year or will they stick with the seniors?
Peter Kelly didn't come into the senior panel until after the 21's last year, will there be anybody coming through this year?

| cant believe o shea and hanafin have been dropped. Both quality players. Perhaps the risk with his knee was the deciding factor

| The meath minor team of 08 got to the all ireland semi i think so they would be handy enough. That was still a strong enough Dublin team with the likes of Rock, Stapleton and McArdle.
Laois gone too, well that conveyor belt has well and truly come to a stop.

| Kildare played Wexford U21's a few years back in Bunclody. What's the chances of the Leinster Council putting the match on here.
It is ridiculous to ask Kildare fans to travel to Wexford park on a Wednesday evening.
I hope common sense prevails - but sadly I have my doubts.
